Have the left column use the colors from the task/category so you can easily see what type of work is involved in the left column.
If necessary, also break down the tasks by category, just as you can split projects
Sort the tickets yourself so that the most important tasks appear at the top. Perhaps this should be recommended in combination with the work queue? Place the most important tasks directly into the work queue.
